A feast was held for all participants in the Pingtan leg of the 2012-13 Kiteboard Tour Asia on Wednesday evening, May 8, Pingtan Times reported.

You Mengjun, deputy director of the Pingtan administrative committee, extended a warm welcome to the guests and hoped that the event would be unique and successful.

Chen Zhonghe, deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau, also attended the banquet.

More than 100 kite surfers from 30 countries and regions have registered for the event, the largest of its kind in the world this year. Six players from Pingtan will compete with their foreign counterparts for the championship.
