Chen Hua, a member of the standing committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, and other officials from relative provincial government departments visited Pingtan on July 24 and 25 to send their regards to those with financial difficulties.

At Pingtan's local bureau for complaints on July 24, Chen received three groups of petitioners and heard their problems regarding issues such as property ownership certificates and environmental noise. She then offered her advice.

Chen and her entourage visited poverty-stricken residents on Caoyu Islet on Thursday morning and encouraged them to stay positive.

She also toured Nanhai's townships to learn about the local economic situation. She urged the regions to develop featured industries according to local resources.
