Nearly 100 elderly cadres as well as local government officials, You Mengjun and Xie Xiutong, attended the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone's celebrations for Chongyang Festival, which fell on Oct 13 this year.

You Mengjun, deputy director of the zone's management committee, conveyed his best wishes and also his appreciation to the elderly cadres who have made great contributions to Pingtan's development. He also said that he hopes they will continue to share their rich experience.

Officials discussed the zone's development, saying that Pingtan has made great advances in the last three years due to its efforts to implement its plans, promote construction of infrastructure, push forward industries and upgrade its facilities. In addition, it has given priority to ecological development and to helping people increase their income.
