A delegation from the Fujian Provincial Ocean and Fishery Dept, headed by Director Wu Nanxiang, visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) in Fujian province on March 13 to investigate its development.

In a meeting with the provincial officials, Li Dejin, director of the PCPZ’s administration, conveyed his gratitude for their support for Pingtan and said Pingtan is actively cooperating with related departments in ecological conservation on islands and the construction of a state island research center as well as a wharf.

Li went on to say that Pingtan hopes officials can make more flexible policies concerning projects in Pingtan.

Wu spoke highly of Pingtan’s efforts in the construction of those above projects and pledged to increase policy support for Pingtan.
