Pingtan's tourism promotion campaign was launched all over the country as of May this year, said the local tourism development bureau.

The campaign covers Shanghai, Jiangxi, Zhejiang and other provinces and cities, and even Taiwan, showing local authorities' determination to increase national awareness of Pingtan's tourism attractions, advertisements for which can be seen on buses and high-speed trains, at airports and on TV.

Chen Lin of the tourism development bureau said that they expect to introduce Pingtan to more people and this move is considered conducive to the zone's goal of becoming an international tourist destination.
