Two travel agencies in the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province, are now able to offer smart services, as they have been included in a cloud-based project for travel agencies launched by the Fujian Provincial Tourism Administration, ptnet.cn reported on June 3.

The agencies are Fujian Tianhai International Travel Agency and Fujian Liang'an International Travel Agency, the only two eligible for the project in Pingtan.

The project began in December 2015 and allows travel agencies to organize travel groups online and optimize their internal management with information technology. It will help improve the services of travel agencies and bring much convenience to both travel agencies and travelers.

A subsidy of 20,000 yuan ($3,039) will be granted to each travel agency included in the project, said Wang Xin, an official of the Fujian Provincial Tourism Administration.
