"The appearance of Hai Rui indicates people's long-term hatred for corruption and political aspirations for the honest and upright officials," said Jin at a press conference in Pingtan on April 21. "The drama shall echo people's anger at corrupt officials and the strong tides of feeling being unleashed by the national anti-corruption campaign currently underway."

Justice is scheduled to begin rehearsals on May 3. Chen Hongxiang, who stars as Hai Rui, expressed his confidence in the drama's success.

"With such a wonderful play, we believe it will definitely become a hit, contributing to a further development of the cultural prosperity in Pingtan," Chen said.
