At 2:00pm on 1 May, 2016, the Project Management Department of Qatar Mega Reservoir Package E smoothly completed concrete placing for the bottom board of Main Pumping Station. The work of concrete casting lasted for 18 hours, amounting to 940 cubic meters cast in total.
The complicated implementation of Main Pumping Station in demand of high technical standard includes foundation excavation, water proof, structural construction, large precast girder hoisting, bridge crane installation, mechanical & electrical equipment installation, and station decoration, which are all key tasks of the whole project. In order to speed up construction progress, all of staff in this project gave up rest time during Labor’s Day holiday and instead, worked for reinforced concrete casting for the bottom plate of Main Pumping Station. Thanks to their endeavor, they brought the construction progress up to planned schedule. Moreover, they buckled down to quality control in the process and thus made the task pass acceptance at one shot, for which they were highly appraised by the consultant engineers.
The smooth concreting of the bottom plate symbolizes the third milestone project propelled in an all-around manner and lays a sound foundation for following jobs of Main Pumping Station.
