On May 24 (local time), leaders from Angola National Inspection Management Committee and the Department of Water Affairs and Energy paid a visit to the Project of Marcal Water Plant, accompanied by senior leaders from the owner.
The group visited the main building of 1st stage project, such as 1# clean water reservoir, pump house as well as the construction site of 2# clean water reservoir, where they checked the operation of new water pump as well as operating and control equipment. During the visit, the visiting group expressed satisfaction with current construction progress of the Project and recognized the great efforts made in the construction of the water plant. It has significantly improved the water supply condition in Rangel District, Luanda. Meanwhile, the visiting group hoped that the working personnel of the Project will continue to overcome difficulties and make even greater contribution to the construction of the water plant.
It is learned that 1st stage project completed by the Project has already been put into use and the main work of 2# stage project, namely, construction of 2# clean water reservoir is in progress. By now, 35% steel bar binding has been finished for 2# clean water reservoir and 88.8% base plate for the bottom of northern water reservoir has been finished. The project is estimated to be finished in early June.
