Hechi benefits from industrial reform in 2017

Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has accelerated industrial reform and development in the past year, a government work report showed.
With a focus on more production, longer chains, and better structures, Hechi has implemented measures to upgrade its municipal industrial parks and promote development of major industries.
Industrial output value of the nonferrous metals, building materials, and silk industries increased by 43 percent, 40 percent, and 18 percent, respectively, in 2017. Guangxi Hechi Nanfang Nonferrous Metals Group's total sales revenue exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.58 billion), and the company paid 750 million yuan (including tariffs) in taxes, becoming the first billion-dollar enterprise in Hechi.
The city's industrial parks have achieved an industrial output worth 26 billion yuan, an increase of 5.8 billion yuan. Daren Industrial Park spent 3.15 billion yuan on infrastructure, which contributed to the park's recent developmental breakthrough.
The park's new energy company, Xinfeng Company, partnered with Chilwei Group, the largest battery maker in the country, on a battery project, which had an annual output value surpassing three billion yuan.
The city has also vigorously implemented innovation-driven strategies, encouraging enterprises to boost innovative practices.
Two tech companies have been established. IT multinational Inspur Group will help build a cloud computing innovation center and an entrepreneurial base in Hechi.
Collaborations between enterprises, universities, and research institutes have been strengthened, with 14 scientific and technological achievements and 1,454 invention patent applications being recorded for the year.
Five regional agricultural science and technology parks were also established.
Attempts to build a strong, prosperous city have been extremely successful, with nine brands being deemed "Famous Guangxi Brands".
