The first documentary micro-movie from Guizhou province premiered on June 28. The movie will be broadcast on China's well known websites such as Sina and Tencent, as well as Guizhou government's official micro blog, according to Sun Bin, director of the movie.

The micro-movie, The Love Carried by Backpacks, describes a group of civil servants in Guizhou's Duncao township, carrying backpacks loaded with daily necessities and crossing mountains, to help poverty-stricken villagers.

Sun said the film crew and him spent more than 20 days in the village with the backpacker-officials and villagers to shoot the movie and reflect local life.

This is the first thematic work filmed in Guizhou from a cinematic approach in high resolution. The 25-minute-long micro-movie is a milestone in Guizhou's film making field.

"It is a successful attempt to show our grass-root official's spirit via Internet and other new technologies. It enables the audience to have a better understanding of our government staff members," said Ha Siting, vice director of the News Office of the Guizhou Municipal Government, at the premiere ceremony.

Sun said that there are no actors in the movie, "We let the civil servants and villagers act as themselves."

Hu Rongzhong, playing himself as the Duncao township party secretary, is one of the backpackers.

"I was nervous at the beginning with a camera in front of me, but felt better when I got familiar with the film making crew. It's not a fancy movie with made-up stories, we just did what we usually do- help villagers and solve their problems," Hu said.
