The third annual Oktoberfest will kick off at Aug 26 at the Paulaner Brauhaus of the Kempinski Hotel in Guiyang, the beginning of an authentic German beer festival.
Freshly tapped genuine German beer will be served in a room decorated in a traditional Bavarian style. German specialties such as sausage platters, roasted pork knuckle, classic Bavarian roast pork, crackling sauerkraut (a kind of German pickle) and potato dumplings will delight your palate.
Staff in traditional Bavarian costumes will be on hand to assist guests and tell them about the history, customs, food and traditions of Bavaria.
To top off the celebration, the German band ‘Edelweiss-Power’ will create an atmosphere just like that in Munich Oktoberfest. Their energetic singing and dancing will rock the Oktoberfest night away.

About Oktoberfest:
Oktoberfest dates back to October, 1810 when the royal wedding of Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen lasted for five days. In celebration of the event, people gathered together outside Munich to sing, dance, and drink beer. Since then, the gathering has become an annual festival held each October to celebrate the harvest and pray for a good future.
Today, it’s a super event in Munich that each year attracts more than six million visitors who consume more than 7,000,000 liters of beer.
