Hebei authorities are set to hold 23 competitions for highly technical jobs this year, in a bid to promote more skilled talents.

The competitions are expected to attract one million workers, teachers and students from universities and colleges, of which more than 20,000 will upgrade to the finals.

The number of people in Hebei with professional skills has reached 4.1 million, of which high-skilled talents account for 1.06 million.

The local authorities have implemented a series of measures to reward technical innovation, so as to encourage local talent, and about 100 skilled workers will receive a bonus every two years.
