2019 Nanyang staff games successfully held

The 2019 “PICC P&C Cup” Games for Departments under the CPC Nanyang Municipal Committee are successfully held.

The 2019 “PICC P&C Cup” Games for Departments under the CPC Nanyang Municipal Committee were successfully held from May 24 to 28. Participants of the games were brilliant and enthusiastic, and perfectly interpreted the theme of "a new era of healthy life and happy work".

The games were organized by the CPC Nanyang Municipal Committee, Nanyang Municipal Trade Union, Nanyang Municipal League Committee and Nanyang Municipal Sports Center. The games were named after the Nanyang Branch of PICC Property and Casualty Co Ltd and Henan Shida Sports Industry Development Co Ltd is responsible for their operation.

There were a total of 13 items in six major categories including men's basketball; men’s single table tennis, women's singles and mixed doubles; men’s single badminton, women's singles, men's and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles; men's tug-of-war, women's tug-of-war; radio gymnastics; and square-dances. The games attracted 2,306 participants from 76 units all together.

After five days of competition, the organizing committee of the games announced the results.

Eight units including the Municipal Committee for Discipline Inspection and Supervision were awarded the first prize of the group.

Sixteen units including the Municipal Bureau of Education were awarded the second prize of the group.

Ten units including the United Front Department of the Municipal Committee were awarded the excellent organization prize.

Fourteen units including the Municipal Committee's Publicity Department were awarded the sports ethics prize.

Liu Ying and 177 other athletes won personal prizes and 35 referees including Wang Shuang were named "excellent referees".
