Yexian, a county in Henan province, is going to become a “new salt city” and transform its economic development by promoting industrialization, urbanization and agricultural modernization.

Yexian will introduce a large number of high-tech projects, encourage self-employment and develop its five dominant industries, including motor cycle cart production, leather shoes production, red meat processing, grain processing and mechanical accessories processing.

The county will transform its old urabn area and build a new one.

To be more ecologically-friendly, the government of Yexian will adjust the county's agricultural structure and develop 160 rural villages.

Yexian will try to attract investment to build a saltwater resort as the regional drawcard.
