Ruzhou city received 2.32 million domestic tourists and the direct income of tourism industry reached over 97.9 million yuan in 2011. There was a year-on-year growth of 19.5 percent and 20.8 percent respectively.

In 2011, the Ruzhou municipal tourism bureau strengthened efforts to promote tourism, made full use of all sorts of opportunities to promote the tourism market and continuously upgraded the overall image of Ruzhou tourism at home and abroad.

The Ruzhou municipal tourism bureau actively organized travel agencies to take part in professional service skills training sessions to improve tourism service quality. At the same time, many other security measures were adopted to enhance the tourism safety, such as safety inspection and eliminating hidden trouble. It helped to maintain zero complaints in tourism industry and was recognized because of it.
