Qian Fangli, chairwoman of the Chinese people’s political consultative conference (CPPCC) of Zhuhai, visited Ruzhou on Dec 30, 2012, with a group to observe Ru porcelain. They were accompanied by Pan Minzhong, vice-chairman of the CPPCC of Ping Dingshan; Chen Guozhong, chairman of the CPPCC of Ruzhou; and Zhang Guiming, deputy county class cadre and Party member of the CPPCC of Ruzhou.

Qian and her group visited the Museum of Ru Porcelain and Hong Bao Ru Porcelain to study the art form directly. Qian thoroughly learned about the development history, progress, skills and technologies, innovation and inheritance of Ru porcelain. She also listened to an introduction about Ruzhou’s economic and social development in recent years given by Chen Guozhong.

In the museum, Qian couldn’t help praising the amazing Ru porcelain products. She asked about item names, manufacturing techniques and creators. Qian approved of the well-developed Ru porcelain industry and expected to see measures that would strengthen guidance and enhance Ru porcelain culture propaganda. (Reporter: Yang Ming)
