In the morning of May 20, executives of Microsoft lead by Alec Cooper, the Business Development Director of Greater China Region, visited Huaqiao International Service Business Park. The accessing group was warmly received by Guan Aiguo, the deputy secretary and Mayor of Kunshan, and Ren Xueyuan, member of the standing committee and director of the managing committee of Huaqiao economic development zone.

During the visit, Guan Aiguo described the social and economic situation of Kunshan, and presented the Tsinghua Software Park and Research Institute for Industrial Design in Kunshan. He also introduced the software and hardware environment of Kunshan welcoming cooperation with Microsoft, and at the same time invited higher accessing groups like Microsoft to Kunshan to seek and discuss cooperation.

Ren Xueyuan introduced the status of economic service outsourcing and development of leading industries, meanwhile the main advantages of Huaqiao were recommended to the guests, such as the low investment cost and government services available.

Alec Cooper praised the efficiency of Kuanshan Municipal Government and end to end electronic service platform. He said that Microsoft was also actively seeking outsourcing service aspects apart from technique and research, for instance training; therefore they would work closely with China on more areas, while rapidly developing transport and human resource advantages that are more favorable than other regions.

He also appreciated the government of being help to attract investment and speed up the development of companies, and expressed a willingness for Microsoft to support enterprises on technology. More over, he wished to strengthen protection of intellectual property rights through integrated cooperation with the municipal government.

The accessing group also visited the talents training base, the headquarter base and service outsourcing base of Huaqiao International Service Business Park.
