Ren Xueyuan, director of the managing committee of the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, along with deputy director Shen Huafei and other department leaders, visited some of the modern service enterprises on Feb 23 to examine their daily operation.

They were given an operation report at Capgemini, which has received many customers from abroad in February. Ren encouraged Capgemini to expand its operation and work with more international enterprises. He also promised to provide consultation and training services to support Capgemini.

Colette, a newly established company, was experiencing many problems. The most difficult one was helping more than 20 staff members find housing. Ren urged the housing department to help in this matter.

Saige Electric Market, which is to open soon, was working to establish communication, advertisement and labor forces, and with Ren’s support it was able to resolve those issues.

NSK, a Japan-based manufacturer of ball bearings, automotive products, precision machinery and parts, and mechatronics products, was also plagued by the labor shortage. As a leading manufacturer, NSK was in need of workers who not only can speak Japanese but who also possess technical capabilities.

Other enterprises visited by Ren included China Data Group, Jiangsu Start Dimei Data Processing, Tangram Customer Interaction Center, and BOC Services Company Ltd. Kunshan Branch.

Huaqiao International Service Business Park is located in Jiangsu's Kunshan Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, on the border between Shanghai and Jiangsu Province. Covering an area of 50 square kilometers, the park is less than 25 kilometers away from Shanghai. The park was listed by the provincial party committee and government as one of the demonstration zones specializing in modern services and one of the major projects of the province's "11th Five-Year Plan."
