Over 4,000 products from Taiwan - including foods, cosmetics and toys – which reflect the Taiwan customs for celebrating the Chinese New Year, are on sale at the 2014 Taiwan Spring Festival Products Fair which kicked off the Cross-Straits (Kunshan) Trade Demonstration Zone in Huaqiao on Nov 24.

The two-month event is expected to contribute to the development of the demonstration zone – a part of the Kunshan Experimental Zone – and to increase interest in Taiwan products in the Chinese mainland as well as to lead to improved economical and cultural communication.

The zone was established in September 2010, and is playing an increasingly significant role in promoting Jiangsu-Taiwan economic cooperation. It is expected to become an important demonstration zone for Taiwan-funded enterprises and a hub of Taiwan enterprises and products.

The Kunshan Experimental Zone – which was approved by the State Council in February – also includes Kunshan development zones at national and provincial levels, in addition to the demonstration zone.
