Central China's city of Wuhan, which was always regarded as one of China's "four hot stoves" (four hottest cities), is no longer on the list, the Yangtze Daily reported.

Song Yingjie, a China Central Television weatherman, listed China's top 10 hot cities according to the number of days with temperatures higher than 35 degrees Celsius from 2000 to 2009.

Southeastern China's Fuzhou tops the list with 375 high-temperature days. Hangzhou, Chongqing and Changsha follow with 355, 343 and 326 high-temperature days respectively.

With 305 high-temperature days in ten years, Wuhan was only in 5th place.

Haikou, Nanchang, Guangzhou, Xi'an and Nanning took the 6th to 10th places, all getting more than 200 high-temperature days in a decade.

Except for Xi'an in northwestern China, all the other nine cities are located along or south of the Yangtze River.
