The second Yichang Outdoor Cultural Tourism Festival was held in Zigui county, the hometown of Chinese poet Qu Yuan, in central China’s Hubei province, from July 6 to 7.

The festival was organized by Henan Outdoor Alliance and the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Zigui.

The first tourism festival was held in Zigui during the Dragon Boat Festival this year, and the second festival had three additional features.

This festival was on a larger scale, with more than 2,000 outdoor travel enthusiasts from Henan, Hebei, Anhui, Shandong and Jiangxi provinces taking part, compared to 1,500 people in the first festival.

The second event also included a wider variety of activities. In addition to visiting local scenic spots, visitors took part in a Dragon Boat Race, paddled bamboo rafts and went hiking.

In addition, the second festival had greater influence and the organizers aim to hold such events in various locations around China, with the aim of attracting more visitors to Zigui.
