Thirty entrepreneurs withcorporate headquarters in Wuxi were ranked on the Hurun Rich List 2015, released by the Hurun Research Institute on Oct 17.

Zhou Jianping, Zhou Yaoting, Jiang Xipei and Lu Keping were the three richest entrepreneurs in Wuxi.

Zhou Jianping, CEO of Heilan Group, moved up eight places to 24th with 46 billion yuan ($7.24 billion) in assets, an increase of 64 percent over 2014.

Zhou Yaoting, board chairman of HOdo Group, dropped to 188th place with 14 billion yuan, which nevertheless was an increase of 47 percent over 2014.

Jiang Xipei, board chairman of Far East Cable, moved up 157 places to 358th, with assets valued at 9 billion yuan, an increase of 109 percent over 2014.

Lu Keping, general manager of Sunshine Group, ranked equally with Jiang Xipei.

Seven Wuxi entrepreneurs were listed in the rankings for the first time. They were engaged in automation equipment, electric wire, heavy machinery, electrical machinery, fire retardant, rubber conveyer belts and composite materials.

The number of entrepreneurs in this year's ranking was a record high of 1,877, each with 2 billion yuan or more of asset value.

Wang Jianlin of Wanda snatched back the Number One position from Jack Ma of Alibaba, after a 52 percent rise in wealth to 220 billion yuan.

Beijing was the residential city of choice with 279 individuals living there, 99 more than last year. Shenzhen pulled away from Shanghai for the third year running. The fastest-growing residential cities for people on the list included Changsha, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Changzhou, Suzhou, Xiamen and Chengdu.

IT was the most expansive source of wealth, with the number of individuals on the list in that field growing 43 percent over 2014.

This is the 17th annual appearance ofthe Hurun Rich List, which has grown to become the biggest such list in the world.
