The Kunshan government has decided to launch the fourth Shanghai-Nanjing expressway interchange project at Kunshan High-Tech Developmental Zone. The project will begin at the end of this year.

The Shanghai-Nanjing expressway crosses 29.08 km in Kunshan city. At present, there are three interchanges: the Lujia interchange, the Kunshan interchange and the Huaqiao interchange. The interchange at Kunshan High-Tech Developmental Zone is located at the junction of Jiangpu Road and the Shanghai-Nanjing expressway. The interchange will become an important access point to the expressway.

There are five expressways in Kunshan:

G2 Shanghai-Nanjing expressway (four interchanges): Lujia interchange, Kunshan interchange, Huaqiao interchange and Kunshan High-Tech Developmental Zone interchange

S48 Shanghai-Yixing (Jiangsu province) (two interchanges): Yangcheng Lake North interchange, Zhoushi interchange

S58 Shanghai-Changzhou (Jiangsu province) (two interchanges): Zhangpu interchange, Dianshan Lake interchange

S5 Changjia expressway (three interchanges): Bacheng interchange, Wusong River interchange and Zhouzhuang interchange (still under construction)

G15 Shenyang-Haikou expressway (one interchange): Huaqiao interchange (the same as the Huaqiao interchange on the Shanghai-Nanjing expressway)
