This park, in the Wuxi Taihu Lake National Tourist Resort, focuses on R&D, with an excellent ecological environment. It consists of three sections - industrial development, training and education, and support facilities - and eight zones - an R&D incubator cluster, industrial development cluster, pharmaceutical and logistics, professional development, international cooperation and exchanges, comprehensive commercial services, public service platform, and health care and recreation.
The park has an area of 300,000 square meters that has been developed with labs, an international biopharmaceutical training center, a "530" business club, and buildings for shopping, living, administration, and conferences.
It is home to nearly 100 enterprises in the fields of health products, medical care, services, and the world’s largest reagent-type monoclonal antibodies R&D site, a world-class stem cell research center established by top Chinese and foreign institutions, and biopharmaceutical R&D institutions established by prominent scientific research institutes, including Wuxi AppTec Biotech.
The park has a biopharmaceutical industry chain for medical care, medicines, health products, and medical research and has maintained s 35-percent annual growth rate.
