Taihu favors
At family reunions, Binhu locals like to prepare lake food. Families sit around a table to share fresh and mouthwatering "Taihu flavors". Xiaoxiqiao, located by Taihu Lake at the southeast corner of Huazhuang, sells fresh fish, shrimp and crab. People from all around Wuxi come to buy lake food for its reputation, creating a bustling and crowded atmosphere. The region use to be the production base and distribution center of quality aquatic products of Taihu Lake. Freshness and friendly prices are important reasons for the hot sales of the lake food in Xiaoxiqiao. As the 2015 Spring Festival is approaching, the market for aquatic products in Xiaoxiqiao has begun to enter its selling season.
