Jiangyin is a major county-level city in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, with an area of 988 square kilometers and a population of 1.21 million.
It is a prosperous city with a strong private economy and manufacturing industry, including more than 40 listed companies. It has been ranked first in the country among Chinese counties and county-level cities in terms of economic competitiveness on several occasions, and has also been named the “leading prosperous county-level city in China".
