Lu Fuxing, a member of the Zhangjiagang volunteer service team for blood donation, was widely praised for his contribution to propaganda work on blood donation.

Lu was 60 years old and could not donate blood because of concerns regarding his age and health. However, he still served in the team wholeheartedly. So far, he has served more than 200 hours in the team.

Lu has been the BBS manager of the volunteer service team since 2009. In April 2011, he became a member of the team and was then elected as secretary-general of the team.

He is mainly responsible for propaganda work on blood donation and updating the volunteer service website.

Lu also disbursed knowledge of blood donation in daily neighborhood conversations. His wife, thanks to his influence, gave blood when she was 50 years old. “I’m glad to be a member of the volunteer service team, it is my bound duty to help others. Hopefully, more people can join us to serve those who are in need,” said Lu.
