A new version of the classic story Little Red Riding Hood is being staged at Zhangjiagang Poly Grand Theater in Zhangjiagang of Jiangsu province on July 16. It will reinvigorate the memory of Little Red Riding Hood.

It is the first of a series of performances themed around the arts by Zhangjiagang Poly Grand Theater this summer. From July 16 to August 25, nine high-quality children’s plays will be staged, including the magic play Secrets That Can’t Be Told, the world-class comedian’s performance Clown Carnival and the musical The Little Mermaid.

More varieties of plays such as musicals and concerts are being staged this year, said Feng Yitian, a senior manager of the Poly Grand Theater. A total of 75 percent of tickets have been sold. Tickets to Clown Carnival were sold out so one more session has been added.
