We were impressed a lot by the people of Zhangjiagang, a natural harbor in Jiangsu province. We learned of the effort they made to develop Zhangjiagang in the past. The management of industries and rural areas there was great.

We had an interview with the head of La Brioche Food Production (Zhangjiagang), a wholly-owned French manufacturer of frozen dough, established in Zhangjiagang in 2004. His experience as a foreigner contributing to Zhangjiagang’s development can be used by other foreigners for reference.

We believe we will continue the relationship with Zhangjiagang in the future.

The visit to Zhangjiagang these days has been very interesting and meaningful. Zhangjiagang represents a modern China, or even super-modern.

From a poor foundation, Zhangjiagang developed by integrating ecology and modern elements and Zhangjiagang is a picture of cities general development in future.

I am also impressed that the Chinese people are very open. They are warm and friendly communicating with foreigners.

In the eyes of Argentines, China is a model country, with an efficient organizational model and rapid development. The Chinese are hard-working and have a strong sense of happiness.

Zhangjiagang was once a peasant area. However, they got into modern development at a very fast pace and everyone I saw on the street had a smartphone.

The protection of tradition in modernization is important and Zhangjiagang is a combination of modern and rural traditional culture, where I witnessed the protection of tradition.

I believe Zhangjiagang will continue to develop.

I came to China 15 years ago and I got various kinds of experiences, which showed the development of China.

China relies on us to observe and think and to explore the deeper reason why it is a big country.

To watch, think, and listen helps us foreigners to be closer to the Chinese, and eliminate a fear and prejudice about China.

I accompanied my parents to China 60 years ago. I returned to Germany in 1959, and have been concerned about China ever since.

This is the first time I came to Zhangjiagang in the eastern part of China. The development of Zhangjiagang is surprisingly fast, and I was especially impressed when I visited the rural areas.

The rural areas launched cooperatives 60 years ago, back when I helped the farmers do farm work as an excellent Young Pioneer.

I am very pleased that the new rural cooperatives of Zhangjiagang have had great achievements. And I will always pay attention to the development of China in the future.

This is the first time for me to come to China. I am very grateful to all the Chinese I met here these days, who are very sincere and honest.

I think Zhangjiagang is a good combination of tradition and modernity and the successful integration of tradition and the classic. The definition we had of China before isn’t what China is now.

What happened to China? I think Deng Xiaoping’s words “No matter whether the cat is black or white, as long as it can catch mice”, is the answer.

I’m not sure what the future of the Chinese system will be, but I believe that the future of China is the best.
