Brilliant xiaoxi (storytelling with songs and dances) and xiaopin (Chinese skit) performances were staged at the Art Center in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, from Dec 19-20.

The performances were presented by four national xiaoxi and xiaopin creation bases set up by the China Theater Association (CTA). Though involving different themes, the performances all highlighted the harmony, honesty and positive energy of society.

During the event, Zhangjiagang was awarded as the "Hometown of Chinese Xiaoxi and Xiaopin" by the CTA.
