Summer tourism at Mingyue Mountain hits new high

The number of tourists to Mingyue Mountain increased in June and July, with a year-on-year growth of 36.18 percent, according to the management committee of the Mingyue Mountain scenic spot. Entrance ticket revenue also increased by 36.18 percent compared to last year.

Since the beginning of 2012, Mingyue Mountain has focused on building a brand image which "combines traveling with body-building". The scenic spot develops large group tours by utilizing trains, chartered flights and thousand-person groups. By integrating marketing methods with tourist resources, Mingyue Mountain has made progress in tourism development. During the first half of this year, as many as 12 large tourist groups from Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan and Hubei visited Mingyue Mountain; six of them came during June and July.
