The city of Jilin, in Jilin province has seen the first signs of frost, on Nov 22, with the rime being a special attraction and natural wonder for the city.

The most beautiful scenes found along the Songhua River, in the downtown section, where the water seldom freezes over.

The ice crystals condense on the tree branches when warm water vapor from the river meets the cold air.
