Innovative service of sightseeing bus embodies the advantages of standardization

The standardized service of Wenxin Bus company has always been at the forefront of the urban public transportation industry since it set up a standardized management system in 2010.

The company was in the first batch of tourism standardization pilots in Qingdao, which also carried out the pilot project of national service industry standardization in urban public transportation.

It has the largest and most influential sightseeing bus system in Shandong province. In 2012, the company launched the province's first double-decker sightseeing bus that was the only transportation service project to be ranked in the top 10 tourism public service projects on the 2012 China Travel List. The company was recommended as the standardization pilot unit for the Shandong sightseeing transportation service.

The company has 52 sightseeing buses, including 20 double-deckers. It has developed nine sightseeing routes, five for sightseeing buses and four for public tourist buses. Its tourism transportation market share ranks first in Shandong province because of its highly standardized services and operation.

It is renowned as a "city card", which makes a great contribution to the urban tourism transportation service of Qingdao and Shandong province.

It has drafted many local industrial standards for the city and the province, including sightseeing bus facilities, service and quality of guide crews.

By the end of 2016, the company's service standard system had 275 standards, including 70 national ones, 16 industrial ones and 181 for manufacturers.

The company's services vary according to different needs. To better provide innovative services, it formulated different standards, including guidelines for standardization of public transport services, an operation and management manual for Wenxin sightseeing buses, an operation and management manual for sightseeing battery cars for world horticultural exhibitions, a safety management manual, and special passenger service specifications and general rules for assessment of operational service quality.

Its standardized service for sightseeing bus for the 2014 World Horticultural Exhibition gained widespread praise from leaders and industry insiders. The company was in the first batch of companies to be approved for safety production standardization by the Ministry of Transport. It has won several prizes including the China Quality Award management award, the Traffic Quality award and the award for outstanding contribution by enterprises in Qingdao's tourism industry.

Its next step will be to further improve its standardized services and strengthen its contribution to helping Qingdao be among the first batch of national demonstration cities for sightseeing bus services.
