Over 10,000 people celebrated the 2017 Qingdao International Beer Festival on the opening day of the Pingdu session on Aug 12, guzzling 6 tons of beer in a single day.

Visitors can drink beer, eat local food and buy local specialties in Shengshuifujin Park and Tianqiao Smart Agriculture Park, the two venues in Pingdu for the beer carnival, which runs until Aug 27.

Famous local and international beers are available at the Pingdu session, including Berliner Kindl, Krombacher, Monchshof, Baltika, Tsingtao and Snow. At Pingdu the beers are being served by young Russian women to create an exotic atmosphere for the thousands of visitors expected to crowd the venues.

Exciting performances, light shows and circus acts will delight everyone in Pingdu during the city's annual Oktoberfest.
