Shandong Philharmonic National Orchestra performed a grand concert in the Bay Area, San Francisco, United States on Sept 30.

As a central activity of the Second Annual Confucius Culture Festival in the US, over 50 musicians of Shandong Philharmonic National Orchestra gave performances at the concert.

The Annual Confucius Culture Festival is sponsored by the Shandong provincial department of culture, China Confucius Foundation and related local organizations, which aims to spread Confucianism and Shandong culture.

Featuring Chinese traditional musical instruments such as erhu, suona, jinghu, the concert introduced the delights of Chinese traditional music to local audiences.

During their stay from Sept 24 to Oct 4, Shandong Philharmonic National Orchestra also paid visits to?some local schools to promote the Chinese traditional music.
