Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort (Sheshan Resort) in Songjiang district announced its celebration plans for the ongoing Shanghai Tourism Festival with a road show in the Bund in Shanghai on Sept 21.

The road show attracted many locals as well as expats and announced the debut of 23 themed activities during the Shanghai Tourism Festival. The festival itself started on Sept 14 and will conclude on Oct 6.

For more than two decades, Sheshan Resort has been a major entertainment and leisure destination in Shanghai, giving visitors the opportunity to return to nature and experience the unique local culture.

Founded in 1995, the 64-square-kilometer resort boasts a wide variety of accommodation, entertainment and attractions, including Shanghai Happy Valley, Guangfulin Relic Park, Chenshan Botanical Garden and Shimao Wonderland InterContinental Quarry Hotel.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 30th anniversary of the Shanghai Tourism Festival. The city of Shanghai has prepared around 100 activities and festivities for locals and tourists to explore.
