Three bookstores in Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort were listed the top 10 reading destinations in Songjiang district, local media reported on Nov 22.

The list was released by the culture and tourism bureau of Songjiang district after in-depth evaluations of 23 nominees.

Let's take a look at the three winners from Sheshan Resort.

Duoyun Bookstore has many ancient collections pertaining to Shanghai's history and culture on display. The reading space and a cafe are on the second floor.

Meigong Bookstore at Sheshan Forest Hotel, 9259 Waiqingsong Road [Photo/sheshanlvyoutopnews]

Meigong Bookstore is the former residence of a famous writer during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The restored area features a tea house where visitors can make traditional Sheshan pastries and relax after reading.

The "Bookstore under the Mountain" is a forest-themed reading space consisting of four floors. The third floor provides all kinds of facilities to make visitors at home while the cafe in the basement is there for anyone in need of refreshments.
