Photos of a million-year-old cave located in Ningwu county, Xinzhou city in Shanxi province, were taken on July 25. The cave's ice-stalagmites, ice columns, icicles, and frozen waterfalls sparkled like crystals when illuminated with different colorful lights. This cave was formed during the last glacial period, more than three million years ago. It is more than 100 meters long and is covered in ice all year round. Even in the summer the cave can be quite chilly.
