The China Coal Market Forum and Trade Fair 2014 opened at the China (Taiyuan) Coal Transaction Center, in the city of Taiyuan, Shanxi province, the morning of Dec 12,with more than 300 coal production, distribution and end user companies from across China taking part.

Addressing the gathering were Wang Xianzheng, president of the China National Coal Association, Wang Zhixuan, the China Electricity Council’s secretary-general, and Wang Liqun, vice-chairman of the China Iron and Steel Association, on the current situation in the coal, electric power, and steel industries.\
The gathering had a theme of Innovation in the Coal Market and it included other events, such as a China Coal Market Forum, development strategy roundtables, coal marketing and transactions, and events in other provinces. The 2014 Coal Trade Fair, in China(Taiyuan) Coal Transaction Centre runs Dec 12-19 and consists of a Transaction Promotion Meeting, Shanxi Coal Enterprise Transaction Fair, Highway Coal Transaction Fair, Coal And Electricity Production Joint Venture Transaction Fair, and Municipal Coal Transaction Fair, with more than 7,000 people expected to take part.
The conference is hosted by the China Coal Transportation and Sale Society, the China (Taiyuan) Coal Transaction Centre, Northeast Asia coal transaction Centre, Shanxi coal transaction Centre, Qinhuangdao Maritime Transportation Coal Transaction Market, Xuzhou East China coal transaction Centre, and Inner Mongolia Coal Transaction Centre, and organized by the China Coal Transportation and Sale Society, and China(Taiyuan) Coal Transaction Centre.
