The Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals Group was officially established on July 12, by Shanxi's Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a hospital ranked Grade 3 Class A, serving as a leader to unite 10 county-level Chinese medicine hospitals in Shanxi, news.sxrb.com reported.
The group will work along the lines of the principles of "voluntary equality, mutually-beneficial and win-win" to upgrade the ideas, model, quality and levels surrounding medical services.
Currently, there are 11 governing units in the group, which link with each other through project cooperation, technology support, specialty construction, academic exchange, resource sharing, research and development.
Based on the construction of nine platforms that involve medical cooperation, professional cultivation, and information sharing, the group is designated to operate in integrated management and form a regional medical coordination and operation model.
This newly established traditional Chinese medicine corporation is expected to promote the development of Shanxi's traditional Chinese medicine industry and to improve the image of "Jinyao" (Shanxi's medical industry).
Wei Xiaochun, head of Shanxi's Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, was present for the group's inauguration ceremony. He commented on the group's establishment as an effective measure to better allocate health resources and improve the public benefits of medical service across Shanxi province.
The Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals Group is the first of its kind in Shanxi, and nine more medical corporations that incorporate hospitals at different levels are planned by the province this year.
