The Auto Festival photography contest, from Aug 22 to 27,invites photography lovers nationwide to see the charm of Datong, in Northern China's Shanxi province, through a lens.
Competitors can get admission tickets at the Datong News Group. In addition to taking pictures of the festival, photographers will also capturethe city's beautiful natural scenery, which includes the Yungang Grottoes and the Datong Volcanic Cluster national geographical park.
The contest will collect photos from Aug 27 to Oct 8. Members from the Photojournalist Society of China will make up the judging committee. Selected works will be exhibited, and prizes are as follows:
one first prize with an award of 5,000 yuan ($810),two second prizes of 3,000 yuan each and three third prizes of 1,000 yuan each.
The work can be a single or a set of photos, in color or black and white. An electronic version should be sent via email to dtrbwhcb@163.com. Works can also be sent by post to Datong Media Group at the fourth floor of Datong Ribao, No 2 Yucai North Road.
