Drenched in the fragrance of blooming peach trees, Taigu county in Shanxi province will launch its sixth peach blossom festival on April 8.
The annual event, which aims to share the beautiful floral scenery with tourists, puts more emphasis on the promotion of local culture this year.
Tourists can not only admire the splendid spring scenery, but also enjoy a series of folk performances, such as stand-up comedy routines, traditional wedding ceremonies and yangge dancing (a popular Chinese rural folk dance).
The event is expected to promote local tourism and the development of Shanxi's agriculture valley in Taigu county.
