"Medical Industrial Zone" was founded in 2003 through the approval of the provincial government in Datong Economics and Technical Development Zone and the developing medical industry has already become a pillar industry in the whole zone and there are 14 enterprises engaging in the production of medicines residing in the zone. The zone has also developed 5 major industries in recent year. They are food processing industry, deep processing industry of coal, raw material, auto sale and machinery manufacturing industries, rapidly promoting the economic development of the whole zone.
