This year, the administration committee of the Datong Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park increased efforts to promote investments and support enterprises at the park.

By the end of May, the park attracted a total investment of 5.24 billion yuan ($838.92 million) with 14 new entries and 32 enterprises in total settling at the park.

Positioned as one of the most important equipment manufacturing bases in Shanxi province, the Datong Equipment Manufacturing Park controls the access to projects and arranges the functional area and industrial layout to improve the overall investment.

The park’s administration committee focuses on the exemplary role of leading enterprises, and fosters a new-type industrial system dominated by environmental protection material processing, machine and specialty food processing. It also strives to develop a recycling and low-carbon economy.

Currently, the park is advancing its cooperation with large-scale enterprises in the LED industry and the new energy sector.

The Datong Equipment Manufacturing Park was established in 2012 as part of Datong’s Strong Economy strategy. Located 2 km from Datong’s east beltway, the park enjoys convenient transportation. Planned on 32.7 square kilometers, the park is divided into eight major areas focusing on sectors such as heavy-duty truck and accessories, new energy and logistics.
