On Feb 28, 1973, with approval of Zhou Enlai, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee held?a conference in Beijing to commemorate?the "Feb 28 Incident (1947)?in Taiwan".
This was the first conference that was organized by?a CPPCC organ since it was closed on August 30, 1966, marking the re-opening of the CPPCC.
