Rebecca Soni wins women's 200m breaststroke
Beijing - Rebecca Soni of the United States won the women’s 200m breaststroke with a new a world record.
Soni clocked in 2:20:22, beating world record-holder Leisel Jones and erasing the Aussie's world-best time at the Beijing Olympic Games on Friday.

Soni had a body length ahead of Jones, who settle for the siliver. Both women were under world-record pace throughout the four-lap race.
Sara Nordenstam of Norway earned the bronze in 2:23.02. It was the 19th world record set in the pool at these games.
German swimmer surpises the world
German swimmer Britta Steffen finished women's 100m Freestyle final at 53.12, grabbing the gold medal for this event held at National Aquatics Center during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games on August 15, 2008.

Women's 100m butterfly gold medalist and also the world record holder of this event Australian swimmer Lisbeth Trickett finished 0.04 seconds later grabbing the silver.
US veteran swimmer Natalie Coughlin snatched the bronze.
27-year-old Chinese veteran swimmer Zhu Yingwen tortured by knee injury finished at 54.21, the 6th.
