Heed entrepreneurs' calls

Some sharp voices from a senior forum attended by top Chinese entrepreneurs merit the decision makers' reflection, says an article in the China Business News. Excerpts:

Economist Chen Zhiwu called the demolition of villagers' houses an "anti-nature" move.

Ren Zhiqiang, a famous real-estate developer, said that one of the purposes of making State-owned enterprises bigger and stronger is to rob the people of their wealth.

Ma Yun, a famous Chinese IT entrepreneur, said that he was happy about the smoggy air because he believes that at last common people found something that they can share with the privileged.

A common opinion shared by almost all of the participants is that China should promote the healthy development of its market to cultivate the entrepreneurship skills of Chinese businessmen.

It is a consensus that China must carry on with its reforms. The problems of a market economy dominated by power are outstanding in China. The country has achieved remarkable economic growth in the past 30 years. That does not mean that China has fewer problems than other countries with slower economic growth.

The central authority has enough reasons to heed the sharp voices from these top entrepreneurs, which generally reflect the public opinion of Chinese society and the problems of China's development.
