2 - Two (èr)
There is a Chinese saying that "Good things come in pairs" ("雙喜臨門"), so the number two is often associated with luck or fortune. For example, at a traditional Chinese wedding, we would often see the character 囍 (Xǐ) which is formed from the combination of two characters of 喜 (Xǐ) "Happiness".
