Coddling people does not help them stand on their own. Let them live at home during college to save money if you must, but once they graduate, they should be on their own. This doesn't mean chronic helicopter parents can't send over a care package and help them out, but living at home as an adult? No. Unless there is some sort of serious handicap, parents shouldn't go there and buy the trouble that comes with allowing it. After four years of college and being in your 20s you are as prepared as you will ever be to live on your own. Lose the excuses, grow up and function as an adult.
